Itinerary

Your Ha Giang motorbike adventure begins at 8:00 AM, departing from Hanoi’s northeast side.

We’ll escape the city bustle via quiet backroads along the Red River, riding past rice paddies, fruit farms, and small riverside villages.

Lunch in Doan Hung Town, then continue through rolling countryside with light off-road sections. As we near Vu Linh, home of the friendly Dzao people, the scenery opens into lush hills surrounding Thac Ba Lake, Vietnam’s largest man-made lake dotted with thousands of islands.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a peaceful boat trip across the lake — a perfect, relaxing end to your first day’s ride.

After breakfast, we trace the tranquil shores of Thac Ba Lake, following a palm-lined road through gentle valleys and mountain views. The morning ride feels like gliding through a postcard — serene, green, and refreshingly local.

For those craving adventure, optional off-road sections await — including a 200-meter wooden bridge crossing, one of the most thrilling moments of the trip.

By afternoon, the road winds north into Ha Giang’s dramatic limestone landscape, passing Tay and Ha Nhi villages along the way.

A long yet deeply rewarding day — the real gateway to Vietnam’s wild frontier.

Arguably the most spectacular day of the loop.

We leave the main road and venture into remote border trails near China, weaving through hidden Hmong villages, corn terraces, and towering stone ridges.

Expect challenging yet exhilarating off-road tracks, rocky climbs, and breathtaking panoramic views. Every turn reveals a new world — misty valleys, deep canyons, and farmers tending fields carved into the mountainsides.

A full day of pure adventure and endless beauty — this is the heart and soul of Ha Giang.

We begin with the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, Vietnam’s most dramatic mountain road. Beneath you flows the emerald Nho Que River, slicing through one of the deepest canyons in Southeast Asia.

Take a short boat trip along the river or continue on an off-road detour for a closer view of this breathtaking landscape.

The route then winds through Khau Vai, past love markets, ethnic hamlets, and ridgelines hugging the China border.

At one point, we’ll load the bikes onto bamboo rafts to cross a remote river — an unforgettable Ha Giang experience.

Arrive in Bao Lac, a peaceful mountain town surrounded by limestone peaks.
