Itinerary

Your Vietnam motorbike adventure begins! After meeting your guide and getting familiar with your bike, we leave the hustle of Hanoi behind, following the Red River dyke road to escape the city traffic and enjoy the peaceful countryside views.

As the ride continues, you’ll experience your first taste of Vietnam’s rural roads, passing through farming villages and scenic mountain foothills. For experienced riders, an optional off-road section offers an exciting challenge.

We cross a couple of gentle mountain passes before descending into the beautiful Mai Chau Valley — home to the Thai ethnic minority. Here, we’ll enjoy a warm local welcome, stay overnight in a traditional stilt house, and share a delicious home-cooked family dinner surrounded by rice fields and mountain scenery.

After breakfast, we say goodbye to our local hosts and ride deeper into the countryside. The route today is longer but full of beauty and excitement. We’ll travel along winding backroads that lead us into Pu Luong Nature Reserve, famous for its breathtaking terraced rice fields and charming palm-roof stilt houses of the Thai and Muong ethnic people.

Cross a small floating bridge, used daily by locals, and enjoy the peaceful of rural life before joining the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail — a historic route surrounded by lush jungle and mountain scenery.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Anh Son Town, a quiet and friendly place to rest after a full day’s ride through some of northern Vietnam’s most beautiful landscapes.

Ride south along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, passing through remote mountain regions and jungle-covered landscapes. For adventure seekers, an optional off-road route along the Lao border offers a thrilling challenge and unforgettable views.

As we approach Phong Nha, the scenery transforms into dramatic limestone formations and lush valleys — a true highlight of the journey. Arrive at Phong Nha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and take an optional boat trip to explore the stunning Phong Nha Cave.

Ride the legendary Western Ho Chi Minh Trail, tracing the Lao border through dense jungles, mountain passes, and historic wartime routes — one of the most scenic and meaningful rides in Vietnam.

For experienced riders, an optional off-road route crosses up to 18 streams (during the dry season) — a thrilling challenge through untouched wilderness. Along the way, stop by the stunning Ta Puong Waterfall, and visit a local coffee farm to sample Khe Sanh’s rich, aromatic coffee, a specialty of this mountain region.

In the afternoon, visit the historic Ta Con Airfield, where old American aircraft and war relics remain on display at the Khe Sanh Combat Base Museum — a powerful reminder of Vietnam’s wartime past. Then continue to Khe Sanh, a quiet mountain town surrounded by misty hills.

Today, we ride eastward from the mountains down to the famous Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) along the 17th Parallel — a region that once divided North and South Vietnam.

Our first stop is the Truong Son National Cemetery, where thousands of soldiers rest in peace — a solemn and powerful reminder of the war’s sacrifices. Continuing the journey, we visit the unique “Bomb House”, a small home built entirely from giant bomb shells left over from the war — a remarkable symbol of resilience.

Riding along the Ben Hai River, we reach the historic Hien Luong Bridge, which marked the boundary separating the country for over 20 years during wartime. Further north, explore the haunting yet inspiring Vinh Moc Tunnels, an underground village where hundreds of civilians lived for years, with passageways leading all the way to the sea.

In the afternoon, we continue south towards Hue, crossing a local ferry over Tam Giang Lagoon — the largest lagoon in Southeast Asia — before arriving in the former Imperial Capital of Vietnam.

After several days of adventure, today is your chance to slow down and soak in the charm of Hue, Vietnam’s former Imperial Capital.

Enjoy a relaxed morning with a hearty Western breakfast before setting out to explore the city’s cultural treasures. You may ride or take a local vehicle to visit the Imperial Citadel, ancient royal tombs, and the peaceful countryside villages surrounding Hue.

In the afternoon, unwind with a boat cruise along the Perfume River, stopping at the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, a timeless symbol of the city’s spiritual soul. The rest of the day is yours — relax by the hotel pool or enjoy Hue’s gentle pace of life.

Today we ride southeast of Hue through peaceful countryside backroads, far from the city’s noise and traffic. Along the way, visit local families who grow straw mushrooms, and explore the extraordinary City of Tombs, a truly unique place where lavishly built mausoleums honor the departed — unlike anywhere else in the world.

Continue the journey along white-sand coastal trails, enjoying the sea breeze and stunning ocean views. Stop by the Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia, and savor a fresh seafood lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy an exhilarating ride up the Hai Van Pass, famously featured on Top Gear Vietnam, offering panoramic views of Da Nang Bay and the surrounding mountains. Descend into Da Nang City, Vietnam’s most dynamic coastal hub, before reaching the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Today is a free day to explore at your own pace after several days of adventure. Guests can choose from multiple experiences:

Take an optional excursion by car/motorcycle to My Son Sanctuary or Bà Nà Hills and the iconic Golden Bridge, enjoying spectacular mountain scenery (extra cost). 

Explore the UNESCO-listed Hoi An Ancient Town, wandering through its lantern-lit streets, visiting the Japanese Covered Bridge, temples, and local markets. Hoi An is also famous for tailor-made clothing, where skilled tailors can craft custom suits, dresses, or other garments within just a few hours — perfect for those who love shopping and fashion.

Simply relax at My Khe or An Bang Beach, enjoy the hotel pool, or stroll through Da Nang city at leisure.

Whether you prefer adventure, culture, shopping, or relaxation, this day allows you to create your own perfect experience.

Today’s ride is one of the longest — but also one of the most rewarding. Leaving the coast behind, we climb back into the majestic Central Highlands, a region famous for its coffee plantations, rubber forests, and diverse ethnic minority cultures.

We follow the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, winding through lush jungles and remote mountain passes that trace the Laos and Cambodia borders. For experienced riders, an optional off-road section offers a real challenge with red dirt trails and stream crossings — pure adventure!

If time allows, we can take a detour to Charlie Hill, a historic wartime site that offers panoramic views and a glimpse into the region’s past.

Continue the journey to Kon Tum, a peaceful highland town beside the Dak Bla River, home to the Bahnar, Sedang, and Jarai ethnic groups. End the day with a strong cup of local highland coffee, watching the sun set behind the mountains.

Today’s ride takes you deeper into the Central Highlands, through rolling tea hills, century-old pine forests, and the misty mountains of Gia Lai. Start the day savoring the aroma of freshly brewed local coffee amidst breathtaking landscapes — the perfect fuel for the adventure ahead.

Riders can choose between off-road tracks or scenic backroads, exploring remote villages and experiencing the thrill of riding along peaceful routes near the Cambodian border.

Along the way, stop at rubber and coffee plantations to learn about local livelihoods, and visit an Ede ethnic minority village to discover their traditional stilt houses and vibrant culture.

Arrive in Buôn Ma Thuột by late afternoon — the heart of Vietnam’s coffee country. Enjoy some downtime and soak in the highland atmosphere, or stay in the town center or at nearby Bản Đôn.

Today’s ride is short but packed with highlights, giving you a chance to relax while exploring the Central Highlands. Begin by visiting ethnic minority villages, exploring traditional longhouses, and observing the majestic elephants of the region — you can even feed them in a respectful way.

Ride through vast coffee plantations and learn about the local coffee-making process, with the opportunity to taste Vietnam’s famous highland coffee varieties. Stop at Dray Sap and Dray Nu waterfalls, some of the largest and most spectacular in Vietnam, or take a short trek up Elephant Mountain for panoramic views over the lake and surrounding highlands.

We arrive at Hồ Lak in the early afternoon. Relax and enjoy the sunset over the lake, or enhance your cultural experience with a traditional Cồng Chiêng music performance (extra cost). Overnight in a hotel facing the tranquil lake.

Optional Route: Dak Lak → Nha Trang Beach

On this day, instead of staying at Lak Lake, guests can choose to ride directly to Nha Trang, Vietnam’s beautiful beach city. Enjoy a scenic descent from the highlands to the coast and spend the afternoon relaxing by the sea.

Next Day: Continue the journey from Nha Trang to Da Lat via a stunning mountain pass.

In the morning, ride along the shores of Hồ Lak and visit the nearby M’nong villages, observing local life and traditional stilt houses.

Then start the scenic ride along the famous winding road, often called “the road with 1000 bends”, through lush forests and highland landscapes. Before reaching Đà Lạt, admire the panoramic views of the Central Highlands and the surrounding mountains.

In the afternoon, explore the City of Thousand Flowers, a charming French-style hill station. Highlights include visiting Thác Voi (Elephant Waterfall), wandering around the romantic streets, and discovering Đà Lạt’s unique architecture. Optional visits include Bao Dinh Palace, Crazy House, or the steam train station, depending on your interests.

Leaving the charm of Dalat behind, we ride south along scenic highland roads. Pass through the lush tea hills of Di Linh and coffee plantations, stopping to learn about the local coffee-making process and enjoy the stunning mountain landscapes.

Continue along stretches of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, winding through remote forests and peaceful villages. Make a stop at Bongour Waterfall, a breathtaking site perfect for photos and a short walk to appreciate the natural beauty.

In the afternoon, explore Nam Cat Tien National Park, a remarkable tropical rainforest home to diverse flora and fauna, before arriving at your hotel. Relax and enjoy the tranquil forest surroundings after a full day of riding.

Today marks the final day of our epic 14-day journey from Hanoi to Saigon. We ride south along scenic countryside roads, passing through lush forests and rural villages, before reaching the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s vibrant southern capital.

A highlight of the day is a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the Vietnam War — offering a fascinating insight into the resilience and ingenuity of the Vietnamese people.

After this final adventure, we arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, where your unforgettable motorbike journey comes to a close. Take in the city’s lively streets, enjoy a well-earned meal, and celebrate completing an epic ride across Vietnam.
