As we ride deeper into the mountains, you’ll encounter Co Tu ethnic minority villages, observing daily life and traditional practices. Along the route, delight in the cheerful greetings of children waving at you — a heartwarming welcome that adds a special touch to the journey.

We begin the day riding along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail — a historic wartime route winding through remote borderlands near Laos. Along the way, visit Co Tu and Pa Co villages to experience their traditional stilt houses, weaving culture, and warm hospitality.

Stop at the abandoned A So Airfield before continuing toward A Luoi for lunch. The ride then unfolds through pristine jungle, winding mountain passes, and hidden hamlets where few travelers ever venture.

As we approach Khe Sanh, coffee plantations and rolling hills emerge — a peaceful contrast to the region’s turbulent past. It’s a day that beautifully blends adventure, history, and authentic culture.

Today’s ride leads east from the mountains to the historic Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) — the former border between North and South Vietnam.

We begin at Ta Con Airfield, where American aircraft and war relics left behind from the war remain on display, before continuing to the Truong Son National Cemetery, a solemn tribute to thousands who sacrificed their lives. Nearby, the remarkable “Bomb House”, built entirely from bomb shells, stands as a symbol of resilience and rebirth.

Following the Ben Hai River, we reach Hien Luong Bridge which marked the boundary separating the country for over 20 years during wartime and then explore the Vinh Moc Tunnels, an underground village stretching to the sea where civilians lived and survived during years of bombing.

In the afternoon, ride south across the Tam Giang Lagoon by local ferry and arrive in Hue, the former Imperial Capital, by sunset.

Begin your final day with a visit to Hue’s Imperial Citadel, the ancient seat of Vietnam’s last dynasty and a proud symbol of its royal heritage. Wander through moss-covered gates, tranquil courtyards, and timeworn palaces that whisper stories of a bygone era.

Leaving Hue behind, ride through peaceful countryside roads toward the coast, passing villages where locals grow straw mushrooms and the extraordinary City of Tombs in An Bang — a surreal landscape of ornate, family-built mausoleums honoring generations past. Continue along the Tam Giang Lagoon, the largest in Southeast Asia, and enjoy a fresh seafood lunch by the water.

In the afternoon, take on the legendary Hai Van Pass, a thrilling mountain road made famous by Top Gear Vietnam. With sweeping curves and breathtaking ocean views, it’s the perfect finale to your adventure. Descend into Da Nang, follow the scenic coastline, and roll into Hoi An — the charming UNESCO World Heritage town where your Central Vietnam journey comes to a perfect close.
